Role:-
The Technical Writer for OneShield will create technical content, build product documentation, and participate in knowledge management activities. Candidate should be able to support users through self-paced, online training courses and resolve technical queries.
Job Responsibilities:-
Understand the requirements from stakeholders, identify the target audience, and define the scope of documentation.
Create documentation that meets technical writing standards and conforms to OneShield standards and guidelines.
Create or update content such as executive summaries, installation guides, user guides, product release notes, etc., for technical and business users.
Update product documentation as the product evolves. Design learning material, exercises, question banks, frequently asked questions, troubleshooting tips, and other educational content.
Make the content more engaging by introducing videos, animations, etc.
Create workflow diagrams, drawings, videos, etc., to increase user understanding.
Provide support to trainees primarily for self-paced learning through online courses.
Maintain a record of the learning progress of trainees.
Learn new technologies, tools, and writing trends.
Acquire knowledge of the insurance domain and OneShield products.
Desired Technical Skills:-
Understanding of computer programming fundamentals with experience in one object-oriented language.
Ability to write about complex technical and business subjects for a variety of audiences.
Ability to gather requirements from product and engineering teams and publish documentation on the features and defect fixes in product releases.
Appetite for research and ability to grasp complex technical concepts quickly.
Ability to write and enrich API documentation with relevant sample code, including requests, responses, and parameters.
Understanding of instructional design principles and proficiency in making concepts easily understandable using audio-visual formats.
Knowledge of learning management systems such as EduBrite, content management systems such as Atlassian Confluence, and video editing tools such as Camtasia will be a plus.

Education :-
Bachelors’ or master’s degree From a reputed institute.
Experience:-
6-10 years in learning and technical content development in a software product company.
