Research Analyst – Financial Modeling
Roles & responsibilities The analyst would provide support to a Buy-side client by undertaking the following activities independently for Private Debt coverage: • Prepare financial models on private companies based on historical information and other available industry-specific operating metrics • Calculate credit ratios, FCF, capital structure and perform capital structure analysis • Perform covenant analysis and evaluate companies using various financial valuation methods • Quickly develop understanding of the operating and financial metrics relevant for any new sector in coverage • Establish and maintain consistent standards and processes in credit modeling • Update the financial models after each earnings roll out or other similar corporate action • Experience in private debt/distressed debt/recovery analysis/ will be an added advantage Skills • Background in financial modeling and credit research • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to quickly turn around credit models • Good communication skills, written and verbal • Attention to detail • Should be capable of multi-tasking and handling projects with tight deadlines
Experience • 1-3 years in financial modeling (credit domain preferred)
