Job Description:
Technical Writer (1 to 6 years of experience)
● Looking for an enthusiastic and talented technical writer to help create technical documentation and related resources. You will work closely with development, testing, and customer support teams to create technical guides of high quality.
● This role requires a mix of technical knowledge and creative thinking, and a willingness to go the extra mile to build a great user experience.
Job Responsibilities
● Create world class product documentation, with conceptual and task-based content
● Review user interface literals and in-application help content
● Build and maintain resources that go beyond traditional documentation, such as video tutorials.
● Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is easily understood by users
● Proactively research product changes to determine scope of edits for documentation
● Independently write new documentation based on use cases, user stories, information from developers/architects, and use of the product
● Revise documentation to incorporate product updates and product enhancements requested by customers and internal users
● Deliver accurate, customer-facing content on time and with a high degree of quality
● Handle documents for multiple products during a time period.
Required Skills & Experience
● Ability to learn new technologies quickly
● Experience as a software industry technical writer with the knowledge on the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
● Excellent English communication skills
● Experience working with cross-functional teams
● Proficiency in extracting subject matter expert knowledge and communicating it in a meaningful way
● Experience in creating and maintaining documents with very minimal guidance.
● Excellent planning, organizational, and execution skills with an ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast- paced, constantly changing environment
Desired Skills & Experience
● Expertise in creating and editing videos of various types – product overview, training, screen capture, talking head
Education
Any Bachelors Degree or Above ( No Aerospace & Mechanical Streams)
