Technical Content Writer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated technical writer to join our growing company. You will develop useful and engaging content and campaigns to grow our user base.

Responsibilities
• Writing easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides.
• Creating and maintaining the information architecture.
• Writing or revising the supporting content for products/services.
• Editing material prepared by other writers or staff.
• Selecting appropriate mediums, such as manuals or videos, as messages for the audience.
• Standardising content across platforms and media.
• Collecting user feedback to update and improve content.
• Creating strong content that fulfils company standards and audience goals.
• Preparing scripts for our events.
• Providing communication to the target audience across various social media platforms.
• Understanding the marketing and outreach needs of every event and accordingly preparing the content.
• Analysing current content and making improvements as necessary.
• Regular blog writing (3 times a week).
• Ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
• Suggest best practices and optimizations throughout content generation tools.
• QA content for errors.
• Implement comprehensive technical documentation, feedback, and changes whenever possible.
• Create technical documents that convey accurate messaging for the project.

Below are the qualifications expected of a technical writer:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Proficiency in word processor programs such as Microsoft Word and Google Docs and PDF software such as Adobe Acrobat
• Familiarity with systems development life cycle (SDLC)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of one to two years experience in technical writing
• Attention to detail
• Fluency in English
• Healthy analytical and critical thinking skills
• Time management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
• Experience with both print and digital media formats
